Wendigo has been a star for Racing Club since joining Jamie Snowden, winning two of his three bumper races before excelling over hurdles. He notably finished runner-up in the Grade 1 Challow Novices’ Hurdle at Newbury and then ran a gallant fifth in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at The Cheltenham Festival.

After an excellent season over hurdles, Wendigo has continued to progress even further over fences. He produced a superb performance to win the Grade 2 John Francome Novices’ Chaseat Newbury, scoring by two lengths in front of hundreds of his owners. It was a display that firmly marked him out as an exciting chaser with a big future at the very highest level of jumps racing. He then finished a gallant third in the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton on his final start of 2025. On his latest start he delivered a perfect round of jumping to win by twenty two legnths at Ayr. He was staying on well on quick ground in the Grade 1 Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, and some of the biggest prizes over fences could now be on the agenda for next season.
